Has anyone here had experience working with book publishers, especially as a first-time author? With so many traditional, hybrid, and indie options out there, it’s difficult to tell which route offers the best support and transparency. What factors should new writers look for track record, contract terms, royalties, or creative control? I’m curious to know how others decided on a publisher and whether the experience matched their expectations.
